Maribeth
Brostowski

ASSOCIATE ASID

In 1985 Maribeth began as an assistant for Sun Apparel in New York, and over the next ten years moved to VP of Sales, Assistant to the President, VP of Production, and finally, VP of Merchandising and Sales. During Maribeth’s 10-year tenure, Sun Apparel developed from a $10 million cut, make and sew company to an over $500 million business and the largest U.S. manufacturer of private label denim with exclusive license of Polo Jeans. Maribeth then joined Steven Slowik, a member of the Chambre de Syndicale, traveling between Paris, Milan and New York to develop their Ready to Wear Collection. Moving from Manhattan to Boston with her family in 1998, Maribeth studied at the BAC for Interiors and joined Lewis Interiors in 1999. Over more than 20 years, Maribeth grew Lewis Interiors into one of the region’s top design firms, receiving recognition as leaders in the industry.

Maribeth’s many years in fashion, manufacturing and production provided the ideal foundation for managing the demands of interior design beyond the aesthetics of creating pretty homes. Her experience with detailed information gathering, complex production scheduling and communication, and quick problem resolution has been invaluable to honing her strategic approach to design.

Liz Maloney

Director of Project Management & Junior Designer

After graduating from UMass Amherst with a degree in studio art, Liz began her professional career at the Boston Design Center working for Stroheim, a luxury textile, wallcovering and trim company. She later moved to Kravet, where she was able to expand her customer service and sales training to furniture, carpet and accessories. Before joining the Virian team, Liz worked for Lewis Interiors, where she ultimately became Senior Project Manager and Design Assistant.

Liz keeps everything humming at Virian by anticipating a multitude of scenarios, communicating adeptly with an array of vendors and craftspeople, and diplomatically keeping numerous simultaneous projects in forward motion. Her eye for design also makes her an invaluable asset to our creative process.

Katherine moved to Boston in 2015 and began working as the office manager for Lewis Interiors and ultimately became Director of Operations.
